Station model

I think the info on the site model is just not enough. Can we get some more specific info on the site model? I think we need the specific info of the columns.(ie specify where the 2 different kind of columns go. There are not many of them. We can't figure them out from the pictures.)
Just assume that all columns are 3'6" by 1'6" with the long part parallel to the overpass, most that touch the ground are larger and most above are smaller. Once mocked up digitally ask a member from the data team to revise the model. After the overall structure is established individual sizes can be revised if it is built on center.
We barely hve any dimensions on the column info to even build the digital model. We need much more info on the spacing of the columns and so on. For the digital model we are basically finding out mostly everything except the column heights you gave us which also differs along the railway. The info we have is basically random pictures with least dimensions. So please dont let us find out all the dimensions and spacings. We still need more info!! a lot more!!-OJ-
Certain areas of the site are restricted, and we surveyed all the columns we could. If anyone wants to go back to the site and find a way to measure private/MTA property then be my guest. We were told to leave by 3 seperate individuals (private salvage owner,MTA security personnel, and the concrete staff. All the official documentation on the station are the two drawings posted on the wiki. The cad drawing we provided has the alignment of the column bays in plan which are all similar, perpendicular and located 6 inches from the edge of the actual curb of the road. Those columns which extend beyond the edges above unfortunately are inaccessible. It seems a 3dimensional understanding of the site is lacking, it is a complex site, even more so if one has not been to the site. Yes, ideally a complete site plan would have been great, but providing all dimensions and massing would have been well... building a 3D model. In that respect then yes, we accept complete responsibility for not accurately conveying the information to the modeling group. We can meet tomorrow and walk through all the data with the modeling team, because with the information we provided we could build a model. Had we known the information provided on Wednesday had been so inadequate we should have met last week. I am sure Jonas will understand the problems and would rather us build an accurate model as opposed to a quick one.
Most of the data was resolved later this evening, several pieces of the model are being laser cut and we should have some portion of the model assembled for tomorrow 6/16. Corrections to measurements can be made both to the physical model and the 3D model during the week.
